The process

Creating a biography with The Book of My Life is easy.

Initially, one of our writers will meet you in a place that is convenient to you and chat to you about your life, recording the conversations.

We will then transform your memories into a well-written narrative. Your personal history will be written from your perspective, and you can choose to have your story ghostwritten (written in the first person) so that it will read as though you had put pen to paper yourself.

Once your biography has been written, we will ask you to read the first draft of your book and make any amendments before we proceed to the next stage.

When you are satisfied with the content of your book, you may select a number of photographs (if required) to be included in the bound copies.

We will then typeset your book, including photographs, and design a cover with your input. You will then have the opportunity to read your biography again to make sure that you are completely happy with the look and content of your book before we arrange for it to be printed and bound.

If you would like us to produce a family history book, the process is similar, although the content will be based largely on the documents that you have collected rather than interviews. To discuss your requirements please contact us.
