Creating a biography with us is easy

If you decide to commission Book of My Life to write your memoir or biography, we will match you to an experienced writer in your area. He or she will meet you in a place convenient to you (normally at home) and chat to you about your life, recording the conversations.

All our writers are professional journalists, published authors or both. They have written for The Daily Telegraph, The Times, The Guardian, The Independent, Marie Claire, Grazia, The Observer, Psychologies, Country Living and many more. Our ghostwriters have had titles published by Ebury Press, Pen & Sword Books, The History Press, Piccadilly Press, Hodder and others.

Your ghostwriter will transform your memories into a well crafted narrative. Your story will typically be written in the first person and will read as though you have put pen to paper.

Once your book has been written and edited, we will ask you to read the first draft and make any amendments or additions before we proceed to the next stage.

When you are satisfied with the content of your book, we will help you to select a number of photographs to be included in the bound copies.

We will then typeset your book and, if required, design a dust jacket with your input. You will then have the opportunity to read your biography or memoir again to make sure that you are completely happy with the look and content of your book before we arrange for it to be printed and bound.

As many copies as you require will then be delivered to your door. And we’re sure you’ll join the ranks of our many satisfied customers!

I’ve started…but I can’t finish

If you have already written your book, we are happy to edit and, if required, typeset your work. We can also proofread your book and organise the printing and binding of a small number of copies.
